The room with 2 full size beds. The staff was genuinely helpful, just as I expected. Location: the hotel was close enough to the beaches and restaurants.

They had a room available on a holiday weekend at the last minute.
To start, they never entered the faxed reservation I made from Booked.net. However, Booked.net did a good job correcting that for me. Here's the problem: there's just too many small things that are wrong about the place and it adds up quickly. The place is an old building, the floors are not level, the whole room floor is slanted to the inside of the building. There were minimal decorations, something very odd that you normally see in a brand name hotel chain. The website shows photos of the rooms that do not match the rooms. The room was poorly painted, paint drops all over the bathroom floor, amongst other noticeable things about how the walls were painted - it just shows a lack of care for the work done on the property. Worst is really the other people staying there. Mostly 20-somethings that are looking for trouble on the Jersey Shore on a major holiday. Creepy people loitering in the parking lot. I realize that's just my perception, of course, and there were no incidents… But intuition is a big part of keeping me and my family safe and this place just did not feel safe. The rooms that are outside-accessible have stairwells nearby that WREAK of urine. We were traveling with young children - with or without them, I would not stay here again.

the bathroom appeared brand new and was extremely clean.
read some reviews on a bunch of websites and the bed bug warning is kind of hard to go unnoticed. i felt like that was a major concern. no ice bucket. carpet and bed linens were torn/stained. the room pricing is also a bit much. considering it is nowhere near the shore.
